About our ATV Trails
DUN-GOOD RIDERS, INC W11568 HWY. 8 DUNBAR, WI 54119 715-324-5737 E-MAIL: dale4ever@centurytel.net Web Site: www.dungood.com Dear ATV Enthusiast, We're very happy that you are inquiring about our wonderful trail system here in the beautiful North woods of Wisconsin. Dunbar is located about 90 miles north of Green Bay, WI, 8 miles west on U.S. Hwy. 8 to Dunbar and another 8 miles west to Goodman. We have about 225 miles of year-round ATV trails. The only time we would close our trails is in April when the weight limits are put on the roads by the County for the spring thaw. For any club or trail information, you can check the website or e-mail us. At the end of this letter, I will list the Officers of the club. You can get a hold of them by phone or e-mail. We take pride in our trail system and our "VOLUNTEERS" work very hard to maintain them. The Dun-Good Riders, Inc. maintains 87 miles of this "year-round" trail system in Marinette County with other clubs maintaining the rest. We also have club memberships and maps available at the trail stops and on-line. We hope you enjoy our trails. At the north end of the trail in Dunbar is North Country Inn, a tavern with food daily. Richards' Family Restaurant and Motel serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and also have outdoor pulg-ins for campers. There is also gas available in Dunbar. On down the trail about 10 miles (west) in Goodman is Roques' 8 - Hi Club, a tavern and conveniences store with food and gas. About a mile west of there is Stoney Ridge Restaurant and BP gas station with 24 hour credit card pumps. Another mile down the trail is Trails' End Saloon, also a tavern with food daily. All of these stops serve a Friday Night Fish Fry and are businesses on the trail system. You can also make the loops we have, that are all woods. Our trail system consists of a 30-mile north loop, which leads you to Lake Hilbert Campground and Restaurant. We have an 11-mile wildlife loop, a 55-mile south loop and a 19-mile leg that ends just north of Pembine. Pembine trail system now has 38 miles of trail east of Hwy. 141. Dun-Good trails are hooked up with the Near North Club to give you another 50 miles of riding. The trail runs south towards Athelstane, then west to just north of Silver Cliff. With this loop there is Northwoods Bar with food on the corner of Benson Lake Road and County A. Southwest of there you pick up the trail just below BrandyWine Lane to head to Jungle Jim's tavern and restaurant. There is also a gas stop just past Jungle Jims. We have also hooked our northern trail to Florence County trail system. There is a link on our website for you to check out.In the years past, North Country Inn had a large parking lot next to the trail that was used. They have now built trail-side storage units on one end and use the other end of the lot for ATV and Snowmobile parking. There is a new parking area on the west end of Dunbar, just pass the club shed. Turn south off of Hwy. 8 onto Airport Road, go less than 1/4 mile and you'll see the sign on the right to the parking lot. Trail No. 7 goes right through the parking lot, making it very convenient for all.Below are your lodging needs:*Camping is available at county parks (call 715-732-7530) with NO TRAIL ACCESS with the exception of McClintock Park.
