As of Wednesday, March 10, 2010 the Dun-Good trails are open. Reporting good conditions for ATV's. Poor conditions for snowmobiles.

Please note that all Marinette County snowmobile and ATV trails will close to all vehicles effective March 15, 2010. Trails usually re-open on or about May 1st, dependant upon conditions. We'll post updates on the web site.

The Dun-Good trails are open with "good" conditions for ATV's.
 "Poor" conditions for snowmobiles with a snow/ice and slush cover.

Please Note: All Marinette County Snowmobile & ATV trails will close to all vehicles effective Monday, March 15th.
Trails normally re-open on or about May 1st dependant upon conditions. We will post updates as we we receive them.

Purchasing Non-Resident ATV Pass PDF Print E-mail

Wisconsin law requires that those who wish to use Wisconsin ATV trails display either a valid Wisconsin registration or an ATV Trail Pass. In addition to the DNR Service Center on Ogden Road in Peshtigo, the $35 Non-Resident Trail Pass may be purchased at the following Marinette County locations:

Re: Wisconsin Senate Bill(s) 400 & SB 448 – ATV Snowplowing & Statewide Expanded UTV bill                                                

    

The two bills above passed the Wisconsin State Senate on a unanimous voice vote today, 2/23/10.  

 

Now onto the state assembly. FYI, the ATV snowplow bill has a companion bill in the state assembly (AB 603). It has already had a public hearing in the assembly committee. Representative Andy Jorgenson sponsored that bill and will be working to get it through the Assembly. I’m not so worried about the snowplowing bill, it already has a head start. The main emphasis is now the UTV bill.
